“Sam Cooke”が1957年にリリースした
Big Cover Tune !

元々は、USのシンガー”Deek Watson”が
歌ったテイクが最初で、
原曲はゆったりとしたDoo-Wop風のVocal曲ですが、
今回ご紹介する”Sam Cooke”のテイクは
原曲を意識したDoo-Wop風のコーラスが入った
ゆったりとしたPopなRhythm & Bluesに
アレンジされています。
当時ヒットし、Chart Inしました。
聴くもの全てを癒してくれる、
極上のラヴソング。

“Nat King Cole”や数多くのアーティストも
カヴァーしていますし、
レゲエでも”The Hamlins”や”Gene Rondo”、
“Cynthia Richards” “Owen Gray”
“Joy White”など沢山のアーティストも
カヴァーしているので、いずれかのテイクで
ご存知の方も多いと思います。



B面は、同アーティストによる別曲。

いつ聴いても彼の声は良いですね。
名曲を違うテイクでかけたいという方や、
“Rae Town”や”Black & White”などのダンス、
“Kool 97”などのラジオ局でかかる曲を
集めている方等にはオススメしたい1枚。
